However, they did win and also took the La Liga title by 13 points and are a perfect 4/4 wins this season, however, they have yet to keep a clean sheet despite playing "weak" opposition in three starts and they have given up an average of 1.68 xGA in the last two road games. Celtic reclaimed the title in Scotland, beating Rangers who made the Europa League final , by 4 points, they already lead their biggest rival by five after beating The Gers 4-0 at the weekend and Celtic could get no bigger confidence boost coming in and they are on fire, with 35 goals in their last 8 competitive starts. Rangers aside it is low level competition of course, but they can only beat the teams they are asked to and they have some young talent which is currently much admired south of the border. This is their first appearance in the Champions League group stage since 2017/18 and it is a really big deal in the green part of Glasgow. They will be backed by fanatical home support and will take the game to Real, which is the only way they can play, you cannot dominate teams week after week domestically , bossing possession and then sit back in Europe, it is not how they are set up and can only end in disaster. They will surely play to their strengths and look to unsettle Real early, that is when the visitors have been most vulnerable domestically so far and in Europe last season.

 

 

A bet I really like and one we have done well with, on the rare occasions we have gone with it, including in the weekend Bayern game, is both teams to score in the first half, that is attractively priced at 4.23 asian line and that is when we are expecting action, 1.75  units.
