Championship betting preview: Brighton- Brentford
Bees were left frustrated by their 0-0 draw with Brighton on Boxing Day, but dominated the match and never looked in danger of losing, Brighton boss Chris Hughton said: “We wanted to get back to winning ways, but they are a good team and they cause you a lot of problems with their movement and they’ve got a lot of good strikers too. "That is a little odd and Brentford do not currently play with a "real" striker. He was flattering with further comments ....."There are lots of exciting games at Brentford at the moment. "They play a brand of football which revolves around a lot of sharp players good on the ball, and they will test any opposition."
Home boss Dean Smith saw it thus: "It was a tough game, we knew it would be as it was played in blustery conditions but I thought we were excellent. Our attitude, application, intensity in how we played and I thought we made a very good team look average today and unfortunate not to get the win.
There is some "rivalry" between the two clubs with the respective owners former friends and now with little love lost between the two, Brentford have taken seven points from the three Championship h2h meetings, including a 1-0 win here last season. The Bees have scored the most away goals in the Championship and they have scored six more on the road than Brighton have managed at the AmEx and I feel odds are too big about the visitors this evening.
1.5 units Brentford +0.25 ball 2.16 asian line/Sportmarket.
Good Luck.
