The Fulham stats are really starting to worry me, by "worry", I mean delight (as a Brentford supporter) as on paper they should be top 4 and are currently 4th, but their ITB numbers have been going backwards over the last 15+ games and they have tumbled from +30 to +2 and, across their last 7 starts they are 63-76 (scored -conceded). Let's give that some context, Boro are 11 points adrift yet are improving and 67-43 for the same sequence of games, so creating at the same(slightly higher rate) and giving up almost five per game fewer, these are big differentials and Fulham should have a big question mark against their name right now.

 

We have to be prepared to change our minds about teams and here we have two who are in "flux" if you like, I know that Fulham are talented and that they usually come on strong in the second half of the campaign, but their numbers are very poor and for some time and they were quite frankly very disappointing at Griffin Park recently and had no spark or life about them. Boro's issues in early season were well documented, but they have improved and suddenly look booked for mid table and they played well in two cup games with Tottenham and maybe we should be doing an about turn on both, that is exactly what ITB is supposed to highlight. Boro's upturn is easier to see in results, Fulham's down turn less so, but both are clearly there. We will know more after this evening.
