Football League 1: Brentford-Shrewsbury Town
Only really Ligue 2 in this email (sent to subscribers this morning), but I will pass on a few words about the Brentford-Shrewsbury Town, League 1 match tomorrow, the Bees are not playing well at present, but have managed to pick up six points in the last week. Coming from 1-0 down early in the second half at home to defeat Colchester United 3-1 last weekend and winning at Bristol City, for whom nothing is going right, 2-1 in midweek. Levels of expectation at Griffin Park are ridiculously high at present and supporters who would have been happy to see Brentford solvent, let alone in League 1 four years ago, are now angry they are not at the top of the table. Emotions are running high and some of the more level headed supporters are equally angry at the others for turning on the team and cries of "being sacked in the morning" directed at coach Uwe Rosler ( which is/was never going to happen) when Colchester United scored, was the catalyst for the two factions to turn on each other in the New Road stand, a few feet away from Rosler and the bench.... happy days !
Things settled down with the three goals and I assume the mood will be better this week and it will be a bigger and much different crowd , which is my main reason for writing. This is the second ever "pay what you can" initiative at GP (the first was originally postponed) and a crowd of 60-70% higher than normal is expected, so, in addition to the three points which could take them into the playoff spots and further silence the "knockers", the hosts will be extra motivated to try and impress and hold on to the new visitors and we might finally see them play to their potential. Rosler can expect an easy time for sure this week, as Keith Stroud is referee and has a lot of "history" with Brentford and he will be taking all the flak from the stands. No official bets from me, but Stround likes a red card and penalty when the Bees play !
Good Luck.
It is hard for me to post an actual betting preview on the website this weekend, as you have already had two this week, Chelsea and Dnipro (both won) and 10% of the clubgowi content is about all we ever post as free to view. There might be one more on Saturday or Sunday, but if you want more, take a look at this page.
