La Liga betting preview: Osasuna-Granada
I feel we will see some considerable improvement from Granada this season, owned along with Udinese and Watford by the Pozzo family, they have managed to stabilize in the top flight after two seasons and can start to kick on. Their summer signings of defensive midfielder Manuel Iturra from Malaga with the Champions League experience he brings, Algerian international midfielder Yacine Brahimi, plus veteran strikers Riki and Piti (with 31 top flight goals between them last season) looks really good business. Unfortunately Riki cannot play today.
Hosts sold Kike Sola (31-9-2 ... they did not win without him and he scored in six of their ten wins) and have not really replaced him, they also lost a host of key on loan players. Today they are without one of their low key new signings in Eneko Satrústegui, plus centre backs Miguel Flaño (23-0-0) and Jon Echaide, defensive midfielder Lolo (22-1-2), striker Nino (25-3-1... he scored in one of the four wins where Sola did not) and Chilean international defensive midfielder Francisco Silva (16-1-1) who signed in the January transfer window and played a big part in keeping them in the top flight, they won 6 from 16 with him,4 from 22 without.
They seem likely to start with 37 year old Patxi Puñal in the holding role and have named a trio of strikers including new signings Riera and Núñez, who have not played a Primera game between them and Manu Onwu who has made ten lifetime La Liga appearances ( no starts) and scored one goal ! This looks a little short of top flight quality and I favour the visitors to take something from this, the handicap start is a bonus, Granada did the double over Osasuna last year. 1.5 units Granada +0.25 ball 2.28 asian line/Ibramarket. Odds have increased here probably because of Riki missing out, but I feel the missing for Osasuna FAR outweigh that and I am always happy to get bigger odds !
Osasuna: Asier Riesgo , Andrés Fernández,Marc Bertrán, Joan Oriol, Arribas, Oier, Loties , Damiá,De las Cuevas, Armeteros, Puñal, Sisi, Cejudo, Roberto Torres , Raoul Loé, Ariel Núñez, Manu Onwu , Oriol Riera.
Good Luck.
