Just seven days ago I sided with Arsenal away to Southampton and spoke at the time about their improved recent form, especially on the road and how they had prioritised the league heavily over the FA Cup, despite being holders of the latter ................

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Ligue 2 game last night played out perfectly and mirrored all those stats, being 0-0 at the break and with Toulouse scoring the only goal of the game early in the second half and hopefully we have found some other good positions to take advantage of this evening. This "middle" part of the season is when these "in play" stats tend to stand up best.

 

 

 

 

This is one of those days which we could easily skip, but mindful that this is a newsletter, I feel obliged to say something whenever possible, so a few words about two games taking place today.
